After the unexpected (nearly) two month hiatus, I decided to invest into some alkyd oil paints and oil painting mediums. I chose to go with alkyd oils because they dry faster than traditional oil paints. I couldn't be happier with the results! The first painting I did using the oils over acrylics can be seen below. You can achieve a level of depth that you don't get using acrylics and other mixed media alone. Art prints of this and more of my work are available here.  MOVING ON 18x24"
