about the BIGGIES collection
The BIGGIES series are painted over a textured surface, and are a larger size of 18x24" and UP. The gallery wrapped canvas is 1.5" deep. The finished paintings are varnished and, the edges are painted black (unless otherwise noted) which gives it somewhat of a floating appearance when hung.
Currently, and going forward, these works are a celebration of womanhood and powerful feminine energy. My initial practice pieces were urban scenes. As noted, some of the pieces are textured. The heavily textured surface is challenging to paint over but is worth the extra effort since it adds a layer of unique dimension to the finished work.
