artist bio
With over 6 decades of life experience, Shelly Taylor is a feral artist without formal training. A curious child, her artistic grandmother encouraged her to explore creativity. As a teen, she taught herself pyrography. After two years of vocational training in graphic arts, she worked in the printing industry. After a few years there, she accepted a municipal governmental agency job as a Graphic Artist. In 2005, she and her life partner built and launched an e-commerce Men's Vintage Clothing store.
During the pandemic, Shelly discovered her love of painting and now devotes her time to exploring it. She is committed to conveying emotion and beauty through her work while working with different techniques and learning new aspects of herself through the artistic process. She began publicly showing her art in 2022.
